Project Overview
For this event project, the client requested large decorative display walls for a fantasy and medieval-themed event inspired by castle environments, Viking aesthetics, and role-playing games.
The solution needed to be:
- visually impressive,
- lightweight,
- easy to transport,
- simple to assemble,
- budget-friendly,
- and produced within an extremely short deadline.
The Challenge
One of the main challenges was the production speed. The complete project — from concept development to delivery in Norway — had to be completed within only 5 days.
The client also required oversized decorative constructions larger than standard material sheet sizes. In addition, the structures needed to remain stable during the event while still being lightweight and easy to install on-site.
Material And Construction Solution
To achieve the required balance between weight, stability, and cost efficiency, we used:
- Stadur 10 mm,
- Stadur 19 mm panels.
We developed a custom modular construction system using CNC-cut interlocking puzzle-style connections. This allowed the client to assemble the large decorative walls quickly and efficiently directly at the event location.
Using this approach, we produced structures reaching sizes such as:
- 4 × 5 meters,
- 3 × 6 meters.
The modular solution also simplified packaging, transportation, and installation.
Custom Support Construction
Because of the large wall dimensions, we also designed custom support legs specifically for this project.
The support system was developed to:
- keep the structures stable,
- distribute weight correctly,
- maintain a clean visual appearance,
- and allow fast assembly during installation.
Special attention was given to the balance between stability and lightweight construction to ensure the walls could safely stand during the event while remaining practical for transport and setup.
Production And Logistics
The entire project included:
- concept development,
- material selection,
- support construction design,
- CNC cutting,
- preparation for assembly,
- protective packaging,
- and express delivery to Norway.
Due to the short production timeline, all fabrication and logistics processes had to be carefully coordinated over the weekend.
Result
The final decorative walls successfully recreated the atmosphere of a fantasy castle environment and were installed at the event venue in Norway shortly after delivery.
