The Challenge: Bringing Maria Nila’s Bottles to Life in 3D
Swedish beauty brand Maria Nila, known for its commitment to sustainability and standout packaging, approached us with a bold and time-sensitive request. They needed 1000 oversized 3D replicas of their shampoo and conditioner bottles, each scaled at 1:10 of the original size. These large-format models were intended for brand activations and visual merchandising across retail locations throughout Europe. At first glance, the task seemed straightforward — but in reality, it presented multiple layers of complexity:
Tight Deadlines
The project came with a hard deadline of one month — from idea to delivery. This meant every stage, from concept development and prototyping to production and packaging, had to be carefully planned and executed without delay.
No Predefined Solution
Maria Nila had a clear vision: they wanted visually striking, oversized versions of their iconic product bottles. However, there was no existing solution or reference for how to bring this idea to life. It was up to us to develop a production method from scratch — including material choice, construction, finishing, and packaging.
Our Solution: From Vision to Reality
To meet Maria Nila’s expectations — both in terms of quality and timeline — we developed a fully customized production process tailored specifically for this project.
We began by selecting a durable plastic as the base material for each bottle. This ensured the replicas would be both lightweight and sturdy, suitable for repeated handling and display in retail environments.
To faithfully replicate the look of the original bottles, we used high-resolution digital printing on self-adhesive vinyl. Each graphic wrap was carefully applied by hand, ensuring perfect alignment, seamless coverage, and color reproduction.
We worked closely with the client through an iterative prototyping process, producing and presenting three different prototype versions. After detailed feedback and refinement, the final model was approved — achieving a perfect balance between visual impact and practicality.
To meet the high standards of the Maria Nila brand, we implemented a strict quality control protocol throughout production. Every single unit underwent individual inspection.
Logistics & packaging
Every detail of the packaging and delivery process was handled with the same level of care as production. Each oversized bottle was individually packed in a custom-designed box, providing full protection during transport. To simplify handling at the destination, every box was clearly labeled with a special shipping sticker, making store-level distribution fast and error-free. The entire order was organized and securely stacked on five pallets, ready for efficient dispatch to retail locations across Europe.
The result
Zero defects across all 1,000 replicas. The project was delivered on time and in full, meeting the client’s expectations in every area — and in many ways, exceeding them.
Maria Nila was highly satisfied with both the final product and the way we handled the entire process — from creative development to execution.
This project proved our ability to deliver complex, high-volume visual advertising solutions under tight deadlines, making us a trusted partner for bold, creative brand activations.
